Julia @ Mount Kinabalu

Sunday, April 26, 2009

My friend, Julia recently climbed Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in Malaysia and Southeast Asia!

Here's an awesome view from Mount Kinabalu...

She brought back many adventure-filled memories. Below are some pictures she took during her climb. She was very excited about these plants that she saw on the mountain and asked me to find out their names. They are all beautiful tropical and mountain plants that are not common on low land.

I am not sure about you but I have not even seen some of these plants before!
Well, perhaps one day I could identify all of them. For now I could only imagine what the plants said to her (except their names, I guess... hahaha) when she snapped their pictures...

  2. Hi Steph. I really do hope you find the names of these plants some day. They are treasures and I hope your government will protect them. I would have loved to be your friend Julia. There are so many highland Nepenthes and Orchids there. It is paradise. Incidentally, plants talk to me too.

  4. Hey Stephanie! Thanks for stopping by today :). I'm doing good- just had a great weekend at the beach, and the sun was out all but the last day! Those plants are unusual and beautiful- I like the way you presented them, very creative! Happy gardening to you!
