All Yellow This Week

Yellow blooms seem to be the flavour in my garden this week...

I have an orchid plant that was given by my neighbour's mom many months ago and this is the first time I see its flower. This variety of oncidium has a refreshing yellow colour. It's a pleasant surprise for me for this week.

This little Portulaca plant which was a cutting I took from its stalk (with a bud) was blooming immediately the next day after it was planted!

Hibiscuses in bloom, lovely!

Have a blissful week :-)

  2. Yellow is royal in Malaysia as purple is considered royal in UK.... orchids refuse to bloom lately, i dont know why, and there is one yellow bloom with a big white single petal at the lower part of the stalk. And that is the only yellow in our garden. Except for yellow pair of gloves Kakdah will be wearing as she has me accompanied checking the plants ocassionally... Cheers.

  8. Yellow goes very well with purple. If you can get some purple leaved/flower plant and put them together with the yellow - it would add depth to the garden.
