They are made up of mostly plants that do not require much attention. </span><span style="font-family: verdana;">Planted outside, they just need to be watered everyday like the gloxinia which I had about earlier. The plant has just gone on to produce its third flush of blooms even when I didn't add any fertiliser to it since the time of purchase.</span><div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilH4VhFz6f3Hp6beng-osdDNqwXRwJ8-pYR125y8OmUpFUr5S63NWtuT3yACHlFtEHBIbKiQSJx8hw2Zj7CfwnZ3DCfIf1wDdWPLkan4jbbtBOr11QYMCd32hWmyp5-Ay6NpHVZtnbPMzc5hnkMjiWmJQYUBdmLA6240MPI2SaWqsZywFmDl_eN46E/s4618/IMG_20220701_115918.jpg" style="font-family: -webkit-standard; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3464" data-original-width="4618" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilH4VhFz6f3Hp6beng-osdDNqwXRwJ8-pYR125y8OmUpFUr5S63NWtuT3yACHlFtEHBIbKiQSJx8hw2Zj7CfwnZ3DCfIf1wDdWPLkan4jbbtBOr11QYMCd32hWmyp5-Ay6NpHVZtnbPMzc5hnkMjiWmJQYUBdmLA6240MPI2SaWqsZywFmDl_eN46E/s320/IMG_20220701_115918.jpg" width="320" /></a></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;">Next is my pot of herbs that I have been replanting regularly. Now that everything is almost back to normal, I can now shop and add/replace some pretty plants to my garden in addition to the regular robust ones I still have.</span><div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;">I used to have several gloxinias with different colours but with time, they have faded and died one by one. This red one I saw at a nursery the other day was selling at a reasonable price hence I brought one back.</span></div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHbpqZAmnBY6JfV7TOfCA_1_ErP7-oQl2xMleaaOHtNYcKSBxP5f8TDP_vcfK9OhGO8DuxZTDON-b9HIEbggw_KzQB_Qt3qTdktWnw2GQB5kwtL_v8g1ADpQDQrGHuX-UL6an_dW68K0rjix-kwo1ijz4KOykzRDNYtTIhz6KeVTf8Gw3NB1Whbkiw/s4618/IMG_20220421_163716%20(copy).jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3464" data-original-width="4618" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHbpqZAmnBY6JfV7TOfCA_1_ErP7-oQl2xMleaaOHtNYcKSBxP5f8TDP_vcfK9OhGO8DuxZTDON-b9HIEbggw_KzQB_Qt3qTdktWnw2GQB5kwtL_v8g1ADpQDQrGHuX-UL6an_dW68K0rjix-kwo1ijz4KOykzRDNYtTIhz6KeVTf8Gw3NB1Whbkiw/s320/IMG_20220421_163716%20(copy).jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;">I also bought a new Watermelon Peperomia. Gorgeous😃<span style="font-family: verdana;">While the flowering plants are at their best, some of my foliage plants are doing exceptionally good as their leaves look rather strong and remarkable.</span><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;">My <i>Alocasia</i> 'Polly' in pic below has been producing more and more leaves, and hence grown bigger in size. Sometimes this plant can be really bare as its leaf does not seem to be growing and at times yellowing. </span><div><div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/--kY6xtDAYL8/YPZaVRCsNqI/AAAAAAAAh2s/DG6eBQG3lFMQcN_u9Qj3THgMzudLz79AgCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_20210715_093704%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/--kY6xtDAYL8/YPZaVRCsNqI/AAAAAAAAh2s/DG6eBQG3lFMQcN_u9Qj3THgMzudLz79AgCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/IMG_20210715_093704%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" /></a></div></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;">See it? A grasshopper on the leaf of my Green Zebra Plant? I almost didn't see it till I looked closer. Anyway, I saw many grasshoppers in my garden last week which left many holes on my hibiscus. Good thing they are all gone now.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zFiWq4oWzRE/YPZaVTSOq3I/AAAAAAAAh2k/P3F24pahkTIr90BAkWrD1KwavQGbPnJ-ACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_20210715_093729%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zFiWq4oWzRE/YPZaVTSOq3I/AAAAAAAAh2k/P3F24pahkTIr90BAkWrD1KwavQGbPnJ-ACLcBGAsYHQ/s320/IMG_20210715_093729%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;">The dwarf Ti Plant in my porch has grown much taller and the leaves are glossy and dark. It is looking really handsome now but soon the leaves at the bottom will dry up as its stem grows taller. When that happens, I will have to chop it down to half its height.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R_j7pX-y9ck/YPZaWDtsJXI/AAAAAAAAh2w/3jz2JxitJ8IZHLSPLjA4KEkxTCsLxopaQCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_20210718_080302%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R_j7pX-y9ck/YPZaWDtsJXI/AAAAAAAAh2w/3jz2JxitJ8IZHLSPLjA4KEkxTCsLxopaQCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/IMG_20210718_080302%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" /></a></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;">The best performer of the month is this alocasia in pic below... It has grown out so many new leaves while the old ones are still intact (usually they tend to turn yellow and wither). I am so glad 😍 </span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QgUESHhZldo/YPZaWecnEGI/AAAAAAAAh24/byZcWIWJZs8mEb7sz6RCCWytme6YIWLfQCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_20210718_122613%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QgUESHhZldo/YPZaWecnEGI/AAAAAAAAh24/byZcWIWJZs8mEb7sz6RCCWytme6YIWLfQCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/IMG_20210718_122613%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;">The mother plant of below newly grown China doll plant has unfortunately not been doing well. Although we garden whole year round, sometimes the scorching hot sun and the prolonged rain will pose problems. </span><span style="font-family: verdana;">Growing plants in containers allows</span><span style="font-family: verdana;"> us to move them around to thrive better. That was I did to my rex begonia vine. I moved the plant from growing it out in the open under a shrub to under the porch.</span><div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mZ_VZ96l2IY/YMg0VKHRbVI/AAAAAAAAhOo/Rqp3Av_tYgAZl4995kz2uAs5HRsbOcClwCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_20210610_164607.jpg" style="font-family: -webkit-standard; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mZ_VZ96l2IY/YMg0VKHRbVI/AAAAAAAAhOo/Rqp3Av_tYgAZl4995kz2uAs5HRsbOcClwCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/IMG_20210610_164607.jpg" /></a></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;">This vine (not a begonia though the common name has the word begonia) can actually take a lot of sun out in the open but it fairs better when there is shade in the afternoon. And when you let the vine stretch its stems as long as they can, the plant will thrive even better.</span><span style="font-family: verdana;"> </span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-j0mYzO1GMQ4/YMg0W6cXyeI/AAAAAAAAhOw/yw_yZk4ElxEjfmOxRiE6juVpTEU2UVW6wCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_20210614_094704.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-j0mYzO1GMQ4/YMg0W6cXyeI/AAAAAAAAhOw/yw_yZk4ElxEjfmOxRiE6juVpTEU2UVW6wCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/IMG_20210614_094704.jpg" /></a></div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;">Recently, mine is flowering. But, I found that growing microgreens or sprouts frees me from finding space for the roots of vegetables to stretch deep and wide.</span><div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jgE7UN3JpVg/YFl08x6GzGI/AAAAAAAAf1k/tX77GiDpOjU_I3ilF813fFMm9VL6225wwCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_20210320_161427%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: verdana;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jgE7UN3JpVg/YFl08x6GzGI/AAAAAAAAf1k/tX77GiDpOjU_I3ilF813fFMm9VL6225wwCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/IMG_20210320_161427%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" width="320" /></span></a></div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;">Though little in size, microgreens are highly nutritious. That is why many call them superfood!</span><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cFR0oSCm_s0/YFl08swgvdI/AAAAAAAAf1g/q4nI3lxXlasGa1LVNBGikCvPhmPwSsPlgCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/IMG_20210320_145412%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cFR0oSCm_s0/YFl08swgvdI/AAAAAAAAf1g/q4nI3lxXlasGa1LVNBGikCvPhmPwSsPlgCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/IMG_20210320_145412%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;">Interestingly, microgreens are economical to grow. I have previously grown this one which is white and has a pink eye. But that was a long time ago. </span><span style="font-family: verdana;">Perhaps, this new plant sprouted from a seed that's inside some re-used soil.</span></div><div><br /></div><div><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9IpjbOK4ICE/X1sNhyZk8_I/AAAAAAAAa8M/ow9bBi_vWtE7E6N2TPEtgAjjBhsOCz5CQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1280/2020-09-09%2B10.31.57%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: verdana;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="1280" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9IpjbOK4ICE/X1sNhyZk8_I/AAAAAAAAa8M/ow9bBi_vWtE7E6N2TPEtgAjjBhsOCz5CQCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/2020-09-09%2B10.31.57%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" width="320" /></span></a></div><div><br /></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;">False heather or Mexican heather is a really robust plant. Each time I cut back the plant after it is done with blooming, it will just grow back and bloom and again and again.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/--5rn7uuxCoo/X1sNh2lmMZI/AAAAAAAAa8Q/FBnlsuDqr9kFN9W2hynrEWCil_T9n_q4ACLcBGAsYHQ/s1280/2020-09-09%2B10.32.02%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: verdana;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="1280" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/--5rn7uuxCoo/X1sNh2lmMZI/AAAAAAAAa8Q/FBnlsuDqr9kFN9W2hynrEWCil_T9n_q4ACLcBGAsYHQ/s320/2020-09-09%2B10.32.02%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" width="320" /></span></a></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana;">My white velvet is another robust plant. The rainy nights have brought down the temperature quite a bit. While we are enjoying the cooler weather, I can see that the plants in the garden seem to be also thriving happily.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Below is a pot of begonia called 'Martin's Mystery' which I had replanted with a couple of divisions a few months ago. The new leaves of these young plants are thicker than before and perkier too.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Out in the open, my Azalea that is ever blooming. Although its flowers lasted longer, still </span><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">its petals are easily scorched by the hot afternoon sun.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">The <i>Impatiens walleriana</i> plants in this planter in the pic below bounced back quite nicely after a cut back. Their bushier and more compact growth are really a beauty to behold. Now I am so looking forward to seeing more blooms from them :)</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">The <i>Kaempferia pulchra </i>plants that are in the garden were infested by snails earlier. So, I discarded the whole pot of the bulbs and replanted a few of them. They are in bloom now, taking turn to bear purple flowers that will glitter among the patterned leaves.</span><br />
<br />
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-T-GNVWop2bA/XvruuwpEohI/AAAAAAAAa3g/rg1zZjf6BFY7mMv_PGp10ebLokSf65CiQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/P1360048%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="1280" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-T-GNVWop2bA/XvruuwpEohI/AAAAAAAAa3g/rg1zZjf6BFY7mMv_PGp10ebLokSf65CiQCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/P1360048%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" width="320" /></span></a><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Plants are so expensive these days. I plucked a cutting of this Indian borage outside of restaurant and root it in this little pot. Several days later it looks like the cutting is thriving on its own already.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2yKpsJ6Ydlw/Xvruu6yzJOI/AAAAAAAAa3k/5n3AieZE-48aowMXP9cEaTHRlWYpp7MlwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/P1360056%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="1280" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2yKpsJ6Ydlw/Xvruu6yzJOI/AAAAAAAAa3k/5n3AieZE-48aowMXP9cEaTHRlWYpp7MlwCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/P1360056%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" width="320" /></span></a><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">See the impatiens in the pic below? I have the same in another pot. The leaves are all green and when I saw new shoots of variegated ones, I took cuttings of them to replant.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>

<span style="color: white; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><i style="background-color: white;">This post is all about new updates of my small garden and indoor plants in a city in tropical Malaysia. Method: Container Gardeni</i></span>Stephaniehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05867061279916535777noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1055656544285175590.post-43673363834998491382020-06-01T23:39:00.000+08:002020-06-01T23:39:14.289+08:00Extended Blooms<span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;">I have been growing my Sandpaper Vine (Botanical name: <i>Petrea volubilis</i>) for a number of years in a 12-inch pot. The vine was earlier placed at a location that is just below the gutter of my porch. So whenever the gutter overflows due to the heavy rain, the splash can be too strong for the vine to take.</span><div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;">Recently I found a new small spot for the vine to be moved away from where the gutter is. The vine now flowers more often.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;">The pic below shows the second raceme flower (a</span><span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;">n indeterminate inflorescence and the flowers are arranged along a single central axis)</span><span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;"> which was developed on the same stalk of an earlier one.</span></div>
<div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Pc4V8M7Q2u8/XsNaz5YI8XI/AAAAAAAAa0w/tmUCIpBbkdIwsuPTPN7SiL2lfcZVG3aYACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/P1360009%2B%25281%2529%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="960" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Pc4V8M7Q2u8/XsNaz5YI8XI/AAAAAAAAa0w/tmUCIpBbkdIwsuPTPN7SiL2lfcZVG3aYACLcBGAsYHQ/s320/P1360009%2B%25281%2529%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;">And here is a video of it...</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/btKeVLt4xNA/0.jpg" frameborder="0" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/btKeVLt4xNA?feature=player_embedded" width="320"></iframe></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;">The pic below was snapped the day before the deep purple flowers blossomed from this second raceme. </span><span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;">Notice that delicate dried branch? </span><span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;">That was all that's left from the earlier raceme. You can see the flowers again in </span><span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;">my earlier </span><a href="https://stephgreenspace.blogspot.com/2020/04/flowering-rain-or-shine.html" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">post</a><span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;">.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8SIa-UAesmI/XsNdwhG5VTI/AAAAAAAAa1A/_t7TQ2Z-oakp-usFmN8snBt8l_ai0ckGwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/P1350983%2B%25281%2529%2B%2528copy%2B2%2529.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1233" data-original-width="925" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8SIa-UAesmI/XsNdwhG5VTI/AAAAAAAAa1A/_t7TQ2Z-oakp-usFmN8snBt8l_ai0ckGwCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/P1350983%2B%25281%2529%2B%2528copy%2B2%2529.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;">So you see, it is better to just leave the old raceme alone after the flowers have faded for the vine might just bloom again.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;">Happy gardening!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">See that tiny white bloom in the pic below? It is the flower of my rosemary. </span><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Perhaps the warm weather over the past one week has promoted the blooming activity in this plant. Regardless, the dainty flower </span><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">is looking really </span><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">delightful.</span><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"> Haven't noticed any bees coming by yet though. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Hey, Mr Bee are you buzzing around? I bet you can't find a similar flower around here.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qiDLVj9oRTs/XruPeVx_DDI/AAAAAAAAaz4/w-tTcaSy5dAoVIK7WXOXy21cDFst3KHpACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/P1350967%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="960" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qiDLVj9oRTs/XruPeVx_DDI/AAAAAAAAaz4/w-tTcaSy5dAoVIK7WXOXy21cDFst3KHpACLcBGAsYHQ/s320/P1350967%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" width="240" /></a><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">On the other side of my garden, my Dwarf Azalea is blooming as well and plenty too. Every flower is huge, just not scented.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-c8zJDFyNaNM/XruPduOviQI/AAAAAAAAazs/hEYy11kdGkQg76jGuh4mggTmKoWt_TS2wCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/P1350966%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="960" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-c8zJDFyNaNM/XruPduOviQI/AAAAAAAAazs/hEYy11kdGkQg76jGuh4mggTmKoWt_TS2wCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/P1350966%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" width="240" /></a><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Can you spot the Dwarf Azalea blooms from the pic below?</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">And these are the blooms of my Impatiens (see pic below). They are the perfect bloom for shady nooks. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>

On one hot morning, I found them flowering happily. I was delighted to see how deep some flowers can be.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">This pot of Japanese roses in the pic below are newly planted. They were planted using stems that I pruned off right after I have completed my painting works a few weeks ago. Btw, </span><span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;">do you know that </span><span style="font-family: verdana, sans-serif;">if you were to use stems that have buds on it, they can still blossom the next day even after cutting off from the mother plant?</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WfdAtV62CK0/XqJnInGme8I/AAAAAAAAayc/XyM9swS7epY53E8Yu8h4eF-Fl3v5uREMACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/P1350915%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="1280" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WfdAtV62CK0/XqJnInGme8I/AAAAAAAAayc/XyM9swS7epY53E8Yu8h4eF-Fl3v5uREMACLcBGAsYHQ/s320/P1350915%2B%2528copy%2529.jpg" width="320" /></span></a><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">These days my rosy pink lilies send out flowers quite regularly. The bulbs were hibernating for a long time before that. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">The flower buds in the pic above opened the next day...</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Have you grown <i>Impatiens walleriana</i> before? The plant is a delight to have. Just like the Japanese rose, <i>I. walleriana</i> flowers very frequently as well.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
