Variegation In Creeping Fig
Sunday, September 07, 2025The variegation on the leaves of this Ficus pumila is not permanent. After a while the plant will turn green without the white edges.
The pink leaves at the end of the shoot will turn white. To discourage the plant from growing more albino shoots, I have cut off to the last node which is to the soil level.
I am not sure why it turned out this way as the plant is growing in my very bright and warm porch. Perhaps this shoot has grown out from the back of the pot that is mostly shaded but the plant's own leaves. What do you think?
