Wished I can grow more basils! The plant multiplies easily and flowers freely. I was so amazed by its little blooms.
At first I was caught by surprise with its first bloom. Again, by afternoon, the second bloom opened. How sweet!
Day by day, more blooms appeared. Watching them in close proximity gave more satisfaction as I was able to see the details of the flower more.
I have two other basils thriving in the garden (see pic below). I have been pruning the Thai basil on the left before the flowers appear. The sweet basil on the right has yet to flower.
I was so happy to chance upon one big flower bud from an orchid. The bud was big, signalling a big bloom and it is a cattleya. The flower turned out big no doubt but some parts of the flower were eaten by an insect or something else. There was a big hole in the lip of the flower, sigh :(
My gloxinia is still blooming. More blooms appeared after the first flush of flowers. They all were very long lasting due to the wet weather.
After all the rain, my pot of kai lan is still thriving...
So is the okra...
Nature is showing me colours of my garden, yay :D See...
Bright yellow is my favourite!
Happy gardening!
