Colourful Gems

Whether one calls it cat's whiskers or bat flower, Tacca chantrieri Andre blooms non-stop. The plant is most pleasing when the stalk of bloom appears up-right and sizeable. Do you think that the bloom look scary? Sometimes I think they are, especially when it is fully opened like the one in the pic below :P
Regardless, every time I spotted the bloom, I feel glad. Firstly due the fact that the plant just bloom without much attention and secondly, it has the ability to bounce back quickly after I have neglected or forgot to water it.
Roses Forever® roses are still in bloom this week. A peach-pink flower appeared and it has really put a smile on my face. I have been wanting a flower of this colour in my garden! Now I finally have one.
As always, my Rosa 'Othello' flowers -- no matter rain or shine. Truly a wonderful rose to have. The bloom is so bright and sizeable. I am so so glad :-D
Well, here's my Low Baby's Breath (Gypsophila murals 'Garden Bride'). Though small in size, its flowers are like sparkling all around the low growing bush.
Here is a close-up view... I can see some seeds already. The seeds re-sow itself so easily. This make the plant grows like a weed but a pretty one of course ;-)
My Snake Skin Plants (Fittonia albivenis) are re-growing their leaves. Earlier, the plants sheded almost all their leaves.
Colourful! Rose and dwarf Ixora blooming profusely, yay!
My peach-pink gem again...
Here is another pic...
Have a great week and happy gardening!

Glad you like my little plants, Simone Felic. I don't have much space for gardening, hence growing lots of small shrubs :-)
DeleteWhat a flowers show! beautiful!
ReplyDeleteNow I am seeing some small rose buds and some smaller roses (but in deeper colour) appearing in the garden again. I think I didn't feed enough or they are appearing too soon after the last round... Anyway, since they make the garden lovelier, I am going to just let them bloom :-)
DeleteNice to see your lovely blooms! And I like your blog's new look!
ReplyDeleteSomeone told me my blog has gone out of fashion. Hence the change! Thank you for telling me that you like it :D Now all my hard work has paid off :D
DeleteI think the bat flower is cool. I like how funky it is. Your roses are beautiful. :o)
ReplyDeleteYup it is truly one exceptional bloom! I have never come across any other flower that has the same look as a bat flower. Thank you for loving the roses. Have a beautiful day!
DeleteOh I love your peach rose too Stephanie. There is just something about the color peach that I love in flowers. I had to replace so many of my roses this spring to my destroyed rose garden of the winter before last. I made sure my peach Bill Warriner was one I replaced. Your Baby's Breath is so delicate looking. I love it. Hope you have been well.
ReplyDeletePeach flowers are the sweetest aren't they. They tone down the bright colours. Sorry to hear about your destroyed rose garden but I am sure you will have no problem recreating one again. You create a beautiful garden effortlessly. You are probably a garden genie :-)
