Morning Colours

Monday, August 07, 2017

I woke up early one morning and was surprised to see many blooms still holding up well in spite of the hot weather. The loveliest of them are the flowers from the pot of Angelonias. The flowers are everblooming and they were so long lasting.

I have planted a few pots of coleus to one side of my garden and they seem to be doing really well. I thought they won't grow bushy but they did.

The white rose that came earlier didn't last that long though as it rains after the flower opened.

The pot of Alternanthera below were pruned quite regularly. The bush looks attractive under the hot sun. The colour of its foliage is quite outstanding.

A yellow hibiscus bloom just opened early in the morning.

My Cobweb Spiderwort comes into bloom quite regularly.

The coleus below were grown in two small pots. Although the plant requires a lot of water to stay turgid, I gladly water them diligently. Not only did the compact plant grow lushier, the colour of the leaves turn deeper by the days.

Angelonia looks brighter and more cheery under the sun ray.

Have a great day!
