Crowded Seedlings
Friday, March 29, 2019These blushing Red Giant Mustard seedlings are hinting of their eventual dark foliage colour. However, this green is supposed to be a cool season plant for all I know. Hence, I am not that optimistic about this green although I must say that they are looking rather healthy at this stage.
Another cool-weather crop is the Leaf Celery Westland. Their tiny sproutlings, oh they are so, so little in size!
I am also watching all these other seeds grow...
Anyone planted Catnip before? They have lovely leaves. Snapped the photo below several days after above pic. The real leaves are forming and I can see the shape now.
It pays to replant Kaempferia pulchra. The dark patterned markings on the leaves are very interesting.
Sometimes, the flower will give you a surprise. You just have to watch out for it ;)
I wonder how long these little Ginger plants will last in the water. They look pretty at the bright window.
I have another gardening workshop coming up in April. This time it's at the AEON Big's public space and organised by Baba Gardening. Please help share this with your friends.

My Kaempferia pulchra remains dormant for a very long time in the ground and I thought it was dead. Now green leaves start to grow and in between it the light purple flower.
ReplyDeleteOh I see. The kaempferia plants in my garden will just don't flower for a long time but will still have leaves.
DeleteI hope those seedlings would somehow enjoy our weather. They do look healthy now.
ReplyDeleteThat little Kaempferia bloom is so pretty and cute!
Congrats and wish you all success in your April's workshop!
Thank you for your best wishes for my workshop, Jade C. After this beginning stage of seedlings, then only the hard work kicks in. The current hot and rainy weather is making the task harder :(
DeleteHappy gardening Stephs.

Yes, it is still quite hot here too. But good thing we have some rain to cool down the temperature a little bit.
